CYPRESS TSAI
Fine Artist / Visual Designer
Based in Taiwan but working internationally, Cypress is both a fine artist and a visual designer with over 20 years of experience. Raised on classical music and the timeless echoes of old-school rock ‘n’ roll, she began her musical journey at a young age — developing an intuitive connection to sound and a deep appreciation for all genres of music. In both art and life, Cypress follows her heart and the natural “flow” of energy, often surrendering herself to it completely. Through this process, she channels emotionally resonant, viscerally expressive works that often carry a tactile, intimate quality, evoking echoes of the great Van Gogh.
In her collaboration with LUA, Cypress drew inspiration from the brand’s designs to create original artworks, transforming each IEM model into a canvas — where sound becomes the brush, painting the journey of soulmates from their first encounter to transcendent union. Through her hands, the LUA Story comes vividly to life.
To ensure a cohesive visual language, Cypress also designed the packaging for all of LUA’s 2025 offerings, and she currently serves R&W as a Creative Consultant.
HOKKI
Artisanal Fragrances

LUA's 2005 offerings also collaborate with HOKKI, a Taiwanese artisanal fragrance brand celebrated for its experimental approach and evocative scents. Believing that fragrance is more than just a scent — it's a narrative, a memory, an emotion — their philosophy of immersion and refinement mirrors LUA’s approach to sound, capturing beauty in its purest form.
This partnership unites three art forms — music, fragrance, and visual art — through a shared vision of artistry and emotional depth, creating an experience that transcends the boundaries of any single medium.
As a patron, you will experience the sensory fusion of these art forms in every LUA product. Each perfume in this collection has been carefully curated to harmonize with the sonic character of LUA’s IEMs and personally selected by both R&W's CEO, Zephon Wing, and our collaborating fine artist, Cypress Tsai, to complement her original works.
Together, they form a seamless dialogue between sound, scent, and vision — an artistic symphony where every note, hue, and essence tells a story — the LUA story.
